1. Zero-Data Collection & Local Execution
DocuPic operates solely as a local utility tool on your device.
All operations (including image conversion, merging, splitting, compression, editing, and password encryption/decryption) execute strictly in the local memory of the user’s mobile device.
We do not operate external web servers, remote databases, or cloud processing systems.
We do not collect, read, transmit, store, sell, or monitor any personal documents, images, passwords, or personal identity information.
2. Device Permissions Usage
The application utilizes limited native Android permissions solely for operational functionality:
Camera (
android.permission.CAMERA): Invoked via Google Play Services Document Scanner to capture physical documents. Images are converted on-device only.Storage / Photos (
READ_MEDIA_IMAGES/ Scoped Storage): Used strictly to allow you to select your own files and to save the processed output into public storage directories (Downloads/DocuPicandPictures/DocuPic).
3. Third-Party Dependencies & Open-Source Components
DocuPic is assembled utilizing standard third-party software libraries, operating systems, and open-source dependencies (including, but not limited to, Google Play Services ML Kit, iText/iTextG, and Android Image Cropper).
No Independent Warranty: These dependencies are integrated under their respective developer licenses on an "AS IS" basis. The developer (Super Technology Centre) makes no representations or warranties concerning the absolute error-free execution, bugs, vulnerabilities, or behavior of these third-party libraries.
Third-Party Actions: The developer is not liable for how any third-party framework, operating system update, hardware limitation, or device vendor software interacts with your documents.
4. Absolute Disclaimer of Warranties ("AS IS")
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
The application is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise.
The developer does not guarantee that the application will be uninterrupted, error-free, compatible with every file format or Android version, or that the application will fulfill every specific user purpose.
5. Limitation of Liability (Developer Immunity)
By installing and using DocuPic, you explicitly agree that:
No Responsibility for Data Loss or Corruption: The developer shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages resulting from lost files, corrupted documents, degraded image quality, accidental deletions, or storage malfunction during processing.
User Responsibility for Backups: You are solely responsible for keeping unedited, original backup copies of all files prior to performing compression, encryption, splitting, or editing within the application.
Forgotten Passwords: The developer has no capability, master key, or obligation to unlock or recover files if you forget or lose a document password set using the application.
Maximum Liability Cap: If, under any applicable law, liability is established, the developer’s aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount actually paid by you (if any) to purchase the app or zero Indian Rupees (INR 0.00).
6. User Conduct & Legal Compliance
You agree not to use DocuPic to generate, alter, encrypt, or distribute fraudulent, illegal, infringing, or harmful documents. The user bears 100% legal responsibility for the nature, ownership, and content of any document processed through the app.
7. Changes to Policy
The developer reserves the right to amend this policy at any time without prior notice. Continued use of the application constitutes acceptance of any revised terms.
